Pupil and Staff Achievements

Over the years we have seen our students and staff go on to fulfill their dreams and achieve their ambitions.  Here are just a few of their stories.

Pupil Achievements

Father Richard is our current Parish Priest and a former pupil of Holy Cross, he has fond  memories of his time at Holy Cross.

Mrs Rachael Tipton is a former pupil and gained her current role as Deputy Headteacher and Special Educational Needs Coordinator at Holy Cross in September 2021.

Suzie O’Malley left Holy Cross in July 2024.  Suzie loved playing football, she started playing at 6 years old and joined our school football team, winning numerous sports awards for best player and goal scorer.

The extremely talented Suzie was then signed up by Derby County Academy, where she won the ‘players player’ of the season award. She also played for Hucknall Sports mixed boy/girl team in 2024 where the team won the league and cup double, the cup final was played on Pride Park which they won 5-0!. For this team, Suzie also won the supporters player of the season.

Well done to Suzie and we hope that she goes on to play for England!
