Visit to Rolls Royce

Today 20 children from year 6 visited the Rolls Royce site in Hucknall.  The whole visit was paid for by Rolls Royce.  They provided transport too.  When we arrived we had to wear security badges.  They all had our names on.  When we went into the conference room there were drinks and chocolate bars for us.  To keep us safe we had to wear safety goggles and special boots while we looked around the site.  We visited the heritage centre where we saw lots of old engines and spoke to some people who worked at the site many years ago.  It was really interesting.  After lunch we swapped groups and worked in the conference room.  We learned how to create an efficient workforce using a production line to make water bombs!  When the other group joined us we played 'Who wants to be a millionaire' to see how much we had learned. Before we left we were given a goody bag!  We had a group photo taken before being driven back to school.  It was an excellent visit.  Thank you to Rolls Royce.
