Loved, Valued, Challenged

Thursday 28th

Play a game with your child that involves matching pairs.

Examples

  • snap
  • a memory game
  • dominos

WALT: use their phonic knowledge to write words in ways which match their spoken sounds. ELG

Allow your child time to play with their toys.  Join them in their play.  Introduce some link to writing.

Examples

  • make a shopping list for the dolls tea party.
  • make an invitation for another toy to join the party.
  • make a score card to show which cars have won in the race.
  • make a certificate for the best/fastest train on the track.

It doesn't matter what it is but it needs to be a reflection of your child's writing.  This will mean that the spelling and grammar may not be right but it should be something that is praised by you.
