Loved, Valued, Challenged
Log inOn Wednesday 18th December, we went to the Sutton Christian Fellowhsip in Sutton-in-Ashfield. We went to deliver the shoe box donations for the homeless. They thanked us for our donations because it will make a difference. We met a man called Colin who volunteers at the shelter and he showed us what they do there. They do many things at Christmas and holidays. Colin and his team of volunteers spend 3 days a week helping the homeless in their own time. On the day we visited they were getting ready for doing Christmas dinner and showed us the room where they were eating and were expecting about 50 people. Thank you for your donations. We are living out our mission through encountering Jesus in our act of helping the homeless as suggested by Bishop Patrick.
