Macmillan Cancer Support Non Uniform and Cake Day

Dear parents and pupils of Holy Cross

Every year we host a fantastic afternoon of coffee and cake in support of the wonderful MacMillan Cancer support charity. Unfortunately, this year, we are unable to invite parents in to school get their fingers sticky and sample some of our pupils’ homemade efforts, but we are still very keen to support the charity the best way we can. We know that due to the COVID situation our world is facing, that charitable donations have decreased, it would be great if our community could pull together to help Macmillan’s work continue.

We are asking that pupils come in non- school uniform on Friday 25th September and that for this comfort a donation of £1 per pupil is offered. We would also like to send each pupil home with a cake to enjoy to mark the day so we are asking that each family donate a pre- wrapped box of cakes/treats that we could distribute safely. If you are unsure, please see the selection below. Any remaining cakes after each child has received one will be sold after school and then donated to the local food bank. It is important that these cakes are individually wrapped.

Thank you for your continued support.
