WALT: understand the composition of 4 and 5
Model showing a child 4 counters (this can be done with any small objects, pebbles, conkers, pinecones, apples etc)
Separate the counters in different ways.
1 + 3
2 + 2
0 + 4 etc
Now repeat this with 5 objects. Ask the children to separate the objects in different ways.
If you can do this well record it as a number sentence (3+2=5) and send a picture to me on Class Dojo
