Summer Term Please see our Curriculum Newsletter below for more details about what we shall be learning this term. During the last week of term we enjoyed creating an authentic Ancient Roman meal of pottage and svelt bread. We used our cutting skills, bread-making skills, hygiene and health and safety knowledge. Then we ate it- ALL! See some of our photos below.
Our topic for the term is... Coal Mining in the Community
We shall be learning about the history and geography of coal mining with a focus on local mining. If you have any stories or information you can share we would be very grateful. Come and See
In Come and See this term we shall be learning all about New Life through the Holy Spirit including the story of Pentecost. See our curriculum newsletter below for more information. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you would like more information or advice about our Come and See topics.
As usual, homework will usually be given out each Friday.
PLEASE NOTE: Abacus Active Learn: The online maths homework that the children now receive weekly is in addition to other homework. It does not replace other maths homework but will hopefully help reinforce it in a fun and interactive way. Learn-Its
Children throughout the school continue to need support learning their number facts. The children need to be able to recite them as quickly as they can recite their name. Please help your child to learn their new Learn-Its AND support them to keep current learning fresh (we were a bit rusty with doubles and halves last week!).
Thank you for your continued support.
This week's statement to live by is: I understand the importance of peace
