Class 5

Welcome to class 5

Mrs Williams

Welcome to the Summer Term!

This week's statement to live by is:

I know what human dignity means.

I am very excited to be teaching in Class 5, until the return of Mrs Williams. I will be teaching Monday to Thursday and on a Friday they will be taught by Mrs Alderson. Mrs Simpson will also continue with the teaching of Maths in the class.

In English, our work will be based on the wonderful book by C.S Lewis

This gives an excellent basis from which to teach the Year 4 curriculum - whilst providing the children with a rich and exciting text full of adventure. We are already excited to have started our journey into this imaginary world. Please do ask your children about it!

We will now have a P.E session on a Monday afternoon, as well as the usual session on Thursday morning. Please ensure your child has a P.E kit in school, as it is a shame for them to miss out - especially in the lovely weather!

Spellings will be set on a Thursday - to be tested on a Monday morning. Other homework will also be set on a Thursday - this will be either English or topic based and will be due in on Monday, along with the spellings. Mrs Simpson may set Maths homework on a Thursday also - to be handed in the following Wednesday. The children will, as usual, continue to be tested on their 'Learn Its'.

Should you have any questions, or wish to speak with me (about anything at all) please do pop into the office after school and I will be happy to see you.
Mrs Sansom.

We have had a democratic vote:
