Collective Worship

Class Masses

Each class, along with Father Richard, will hold a Class Mass for our parents, carers and the community. These will be held in your child’s class and will begin at 9:30am. All are welcome.

Each class will also hold their own Collective Worship linked either to a theme or the end of a Come and See unit/topic.

Weekly Missions

Monday 7th February 2022 – write/say a prayer for someone who may/has lost someone important to them.
This week, we also mark Our Lady of Lourdes Feast Day on Thursday 10th February.

Monday 31st January 2022 – care for someone who cares for you.
Year 4 were challenged to this and we hope to share pictures of this challenge in our next Collective Worship.

Monday 24th January 2022 – learn a new skill.

Year 5 were challenged with this as part of their homework and will share during next weeks Collective Worship

Prayer & Care Group

The Prayer and Care Group lead the whole school in small groups on the Journey of the Cross. We stopped and thought about Jesus’ journey in different parts of our school using the art work different classes had produced.

The Care And Prayer Group have provided us with some excellent Collective Worships for special occasions, organised Masses, written Adoration Acts of Worship and worked hard to keep our environment prayer friendly. Every Monday, they are now going to lead our Collective Worships and celebrations of the previous week.

Weekly Awards

We end each week with an Achievement Assembly on a Friday.
Two children from each class are awarded an achievement certificate and one child is awarded either a STAR or STEPS certificate. Children are also awarded for the following; A Heart Which Sees, Spelling Shed, Timestable Rockstars, Home Achievements, Wonderful Walking

All of our achievements are recorded in our school Achievement Book.
