The children really enjoyed this visit! The fire officers were very impressed by the childrens' knowledge of what they could remember about smoke rising and ways to keep themselves safe. Ask your child about 'stop, drop and roll' and what to do if they think there is a fire.
The fire officers also asked the children who had smoke alarms in their houses. They asked me to remind you it is imperative you have at least one, if not two in your home as they really can save lives. If you have purchased a smoke alarm your local fire officer is able to install it free of charge.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
