Admission Authority

The Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Multi-Academy Trust is the admission authority for all the schools within the Trust and is responsible for determining the admissions policy.

On behalf of the Trust, the admissions are coordinated by the relevant Local Authority. All decisions relating to admission applications will be taken by the school’s Local Governing Body.  OLoL Trust  – Admissions information

Children born between 1 September 2020 and 31 August 2021 will be starting school for the first time (Reception year) in September 2025.

Applications are accepted from November 2024 to January 2025 for first admissions and transfer from infant to junior/primary education.

If you would like to make an application for a place at our school based on the faith criteria you will need to complete a school Supplementary Information Form and return it to the school office together with your child’s birth certificate and certificate of baptism.

Nottinghamshire County Council have sent information out regarding school first admission.

  • Under the Co-ordinated scheme for admissions it is important to be aware that should the school of preference for your child be our school then it would be wise to put us as your first choice on the application.
  • Under the Co-ordinated admission scheme this will not prejudice getting a place at any other school, in the event that our school is oversubscribed.
  • However, should you put another school as a higher priority than ours and you are allocated a place at that school, then that will be the school your child will automatically be offered a place at, irrespective of whether your application to our school was successful or not.

Action Required

Please ensure that you follow BOTH steps below, this will avoid any delay in your application for a place at this school.

STEP 1: Look carefully at the Primary Admissions Policy, if your child falls into any of the criteria, you must provide the required evidence to the school office by the closing date for applications at the very latest. This includes our school Supplementary Information Form which is available from our office or to download from our website. Without this additional information your child will be ranked in the “others” criteria.

STEP 2: Complete the admissions form sent to you by Nottinghamshire County Council, or apply online here.

An application can be made for a place for a child at any time outside the admission round and the child will be admitted where there are available places.

An application should be made to Nottingham County Council by completing the Common Application Form https://www.nottinghamshire.gov.uk/education/school-admissions/changing-school and following the instructions on the LA website.

If applying for a place on faith grounds, you will also need to complete a Supplementary Information Form and return this via email to office@holycross.notts.sch.uk or by post/hand, marked FAO School Office Manager.

Parents are advised to read the admission arrangements carefully before making their application.  If there are no places available, the child will be added to the waiting list.  Please see the admission arrangements for more details.

You will be advised of the outcome of your application in writing as soon as possible.  Applicants must be informed of the outcome of their application within 15 school days of receipt, but the aim is to notify applicants of the outcome of their application within 10 school days of receipt.  You have the right to appeal to an independent appeal panel if your application is unsuccessful.
