Are you ready to become 'Explorers' Class 6?
Keep checking your class page to find out more!
On your marks... get set.... go! Are you ready for our faster, higher and stronger final term?
Welcome back! This term we will be learning all about the Olympics. We will be completing art projects, musical compositions, banners, historical facts, designing our own Olympic village (and making it pay) and competing for Athletic Awards! I hope you all have your running shoes on - this term will go as fast as Mr Bolt and we will have even more fun than we had in space!
The terms nearly over- we have been to the moon and back, explored the rocky and the gas planets. We have learnt about the stars and can now recognise constellations in the northern hemisphere. We have all really enjoyed our topic and I am very much looking forward to seeing your projects that you are doing at home next week.
On Thursday (29th) next week Class 6 are presenting an assembly about equality at 9:30 in the school hall. We have been working very hard with Koni and Lisa and we would like to invite parents, Aunties and Uncles not forgetting Grannies and Grandpa's to come our see what we have been learning. It is really thought provoking. Please join us if you can.
Next term our topic will be the Olympics - Do you have anything from previous years - do you have an Olympic tale to tell. Please let Miss Hornsby know!
Is your Mum, Dad, Aunt or Uncle putting in any flower seeds to grow? Could they spare a couple of seedlings to help with our Peace Garden.
Class 6 will be looking at the Secret Garden next week and we will use this fantastic story to kick start our new school Peace Garden. Any flowers will be welcomed and tended to by the members of Class 6 to create a peaceful place where anyone in our school community can go and reflect. We thank you in anticipation X
